Terena Inn

Last week I posted the windsurfer pic. Well, this is the place I had lunch and photographed the windsurfers from. It’s called the Terena Inn in Aluthgama. It’s quite a nice place to have a meal.

Wind Surfer III (Surfing away)

I took a trip down to Aluthgama for a photo assignment last year. It was quite a windy afternoon and I was having lunch at this nice restaurant near the river when the windsurfers came out to do their thing.

Oh, the yellowish tint is from me playing around with Photoshop. The light wasn’t all that great that day.

Dining @ Thambapani

A restaurant in Colombo. A meal at this place would set you back quite a bit. Well at least by my meager earnings it would. So I really have no idea as to how good, or bad the food is.

This was taken for the Leisure Times magazine back in 2007 for a feature on seafood restaurants in Colombo.

My friend Chanishka has a fascination with elephants. And I’ve developed an obsession for taking pictures. So, we decided to put both our obsessions to use and photograph some (if we’re lucky, all) of the interesting elephants in Sri Lanka. After months of planning and a couple of failed attempts, we finally decided to get our little project rolling and visited Raja.

Raja is now sixty plus years old and is said to have the longest tusks for a Sri Lankan elephant. He’s now enjoying his retirement at an elephant orphanage just outside Kegalle.
