The Jetavanaramaya stupa is said to have been the third tallest structure next to the Great Pyramids of Giza when it was built by King Mahasena (273-301 AD). You can find more detail on this Wiki.
Basically it’s huge. You can’t help but have a sense of awe when you see it up close. The two specks standing at the base are my friends Charlot and Gayan. Kind of gives you an idea as to how large the stupa is.

A couple of friends are organizing a masquerade party titled “La Masquerade” on 3rd September at Shine. Formerly known as “Clancy’s” or I think Clancy’s is now above Shine. I’m not really sure about that, haven’t been that way in ages. Any ways these two broke into my house and refused to leave until I made them a banner and a video. So in a bid get rid of them and get back to my life, I came-up with these two.
The infernal stairs, as Wirendra calls the stone steps leading up from Ratnapura to the top of Siripada. Imagine climbing a steep staircase consisting more than five thousand stairs for over eight hours. Coming back down, it had rained the previous night and the steps were insanely slipperly. Though it wasn’t as exhausting as going up. I’ve now developed a tiny fear of staircases after this trip…
